MPI NEEDS MORE ROOM AND RELOCATES TO LARGER FACILITY

In March 2015, MPI Pumps & Irrigation relocated from Oud-Turnhout to the Hoge Mauw business park in Arendonk. The company was the first to settle in the most recent addition to the business park. Four years down the line, the company has already reached full capacity of the new building and proceeded to purchase a larger facility 100 metres away from the current branch.

“The relocation to our new building in Arendonk proved a golden move”, CEO Reinier Teunissen says in retrospect. “Our revenue and workforce have both more than doubled since then. We were able to end last year with over 28% growth. We currently employ 17 people, up from just 7 at the time of our relocation.”

“Most of the growth occurred in pumps, mostly supplied to installation companies for sanitary and central heating. Our irrigation and pressure piping division grew as well, but not at the same rate. We became the market leader in Belgium when it comes to independent pump distributors that offer multiple brands.”

By hand truck
Rapid growth forced the company to seek a new location. They found one in the very same street, where Daily Trading will be handing over the keys to 3,500m2, 2,400 pallet spaces and two (un)loading docks. The smiling CEO explains: “We will start relocating late August. The whole thing can be done by hand truck, since we are only moving 100 metres down the street.” The current building will be sold.
