ENTREPRENEUR TURNS 50 AND DONATES 50 BICYCLES TO CELEBRATE

Reinier Teunissen, entrepreneur in several water engineering companies, donated 50 bicycles to disadvantaged children. The generous gift was paid for by the party he threw for his 50th birthday.

Reinier Teunissen, known for companies such as MPI, Leo, Aubia and Watertechniek Teunissen, has turned 50. He threw a party in celebration and asked his guests for a donation to charity. The charity of choice was vacation home Akindo in Lommel, where disadvantaged children get the time of their life.

The amount collected was enough for a whopping 50 bicycles in various colours and sizes. Supplier Jos Van Cranenbroek over at Itek made a contribution of his own. “I’m a fervent cyclist and I feel that every child, regardless of their social background, is entitled to the blissful freedom of a bike. Hence the initiative.” There will be no shortage of happy faces, that’s for sure.
